The food in Month 2 was completely different to Month 1.

The plan recommendeds not to work out more than two days in a row to allow your body to rest (trust me you need the rest, this is just as effective as a work-out. I noticed a massive change in my strength and definition in my body.Įach workout had 2 exercises (for example legs would be squats for 10 sets of 10 reps and leg extension for 10 sets of 10 reps) followed by a reduced HIIT workout for 15-20 mins. The training was hard and strenuous, but beneficial. My workouts were split into Arms, Chest & Back, Shoulders & Legs. I followed a German Volume Training style workout, which basically means 10 sets of 10 reps. The training increased and I went back to the gym. I also found it really useful being in the 90 days SSS support group on Facebook. And boy you could tell! I felt energised, happy and motivated. The money side of things stopped bothering me so much when I had stocked up on essentials like coconut oil and spices etc.įrom Cycle 1, I lost 10lbs.

Purely because of the amount of meats and veggies I was eating. The one downside for me was the amount of money I was spending on food, roughly I spent around £150-£200 a month on food.

I enjoyed Cycle 1 because I was learning how to fuel my body correctly, what types of food were good for aiding weight loss and the type of training required to burn fat. I was eating things like protein pancakes, chicken stir fry, overnight oats, turkey burgers with potato wedges. The food was actually really really good. You also got a selection of 2 snacks per day.Īll the meals in Cycle 1 were from a set menu and sectioned into low carb, high carb & snacks. If it wasn't a training day all 3 meals were low carb / high fat. The high carb meals only applied when you were training that day and could only be eaten after a work-out. The food consisted of 2 meals a day which were low carb / high fat / high protein and 1 meal high carb / high protein / low fat. I was so nervous about the food part of signing up to the plan as I'm already a fussy eater, but I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't step foot in a gym for a whole month and did all my work-outs from home. The idea of this training is to get your heart rate up high and it continues to burn fat well after finishing your work-out. I followed videos on YouTube to make sure I was doing it properly. Short bursts of hard work for 25 minutes per session. The style of training was 4-5 times a week and consisted of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). This basically meant, this was the part where you concentrated on burning fat. I quickly went through all the paperwork and decided that I would start on the 1st of February.įor the first month of the plan, it was known as the 'Shift' cycle, also referred to as 'Cycle One'. One week later my plan arrived and I couldn't wait to get started. After I had filled that in, I just had to wait for my plan to arrive.

When you since up you fill in a really detailed questionnaire about your eating habits, lifestyle, fitness and a full 1 week eating diary. The plan includes all your training, a tailored menu to suit your weight/height and a support coach. The plan costs £150.00 (Not sure if its changed since Jan 2016) and you can pay in instalments of £50.00 per month, which was perfect for me. After I came to the conclusion that I was never going to stick to something unless I had paid money for it, I signed up. I did so much revision and watching vlogs to get a true review of the plan and to know it was right for me. I finally decided in January 2016 that I would take the plunge and sign up to The 90 Days SSS Plan by The Body Coach. I actually unfollowed and re-followed his account several times, I was sick of seeing people achieving something so amazing that I was jealous and didn't want to see the posts all the time. The transformations people had from doing his 90 days plan were incredible. Joe Wicks’ 90-day Shift, Shape and Sustain Plan is the hottest fitness ticket in town, thanks to the charm and enthusiasm with which “The Body Coach” lays down his rather severe exercise and nutritional regime.I had been looking at The Body Coach's Instagram (also known as Joe Wicks) for a few months.
